We know the secret to growing younger. It lies at the heart and soul of our workout philosophy. Our workouts are designed to keep your heart ratein an optimal training zone that helps your body produce more of its own Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Your body begins to produce less and less of this natural hormone as we grow older. Only through exercising properly is more HGH produced. What does it do for you? It helps you look younger through smoother skin, more energy, better sleep, and its crazy ability to make your body crave working out! Our members will tell you, its all about how great they feel after our workouts. We can't promise that you won't be sore, and that the workouts will ever be easy. We can promise you that you will see differences in your body in no time flat!
If you are interested in finding out more about exercise and HGH, here's a great book by Dr. Ronald Klatz, entitled "Growing Younger with HGH". Here is a link to his website: http://drklatz.net/
Here is an easy way to understand our philosophy:

Can you tell if your exercise program is wearing you out?
We have all heard that combination of diet and regular exercise is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. For some of us, common sense dictates that the more you work out, and the higher the intensity the better; however that is not necessarily true. Even if you have gradually increased the intensity, duration and frequency of your workouts; you can still run into problems.
Have you noticed that your workouts suddenly feel harder than before, even though you have not changed a thing? Do you feel like you are losing ground eve though you are pushing your body harder? If so, you are quite possilby over training your body.
Now here are some common symptoms to look for:
Feeling tired, draned and no energy
Body aches and mild muscle soreness
A decrese of performance
Inability to finish your routine
Headaches
Insomnia
No motivation/burn out feeling
The cause of this is simple. You are not allowing your body enough rest time so that it has time to recover and/or you are doing the same exercises too frequently. You can work the same muscle, just do it differently so that you cause muscle confusion, which is required to build. Remedy over training by allowing time for recovery and change your routines to cause more muscle confusion.
February 7th look for my article on the steps taken to avoid over training..........
Over Training??? Symptoms and Solutions. If you have been over training it is not too late to get back on track! Look for these symptoms and follow the steps to recovery.
Common symptoms to look for:
- Feeling tired, draned and no energy
- Body aches and mild muscle soreness
- A decrese of performance
- Inability to finish your routine
- Headaches
- Insomnia
- No motivation/burn out feeling
Your first priority is to think "Rest". A day or two may not be enough in some cases. Depending on the severity of the case, you could require a full five day recovery, for both mental and physical.
Get plenty of sleep and make sure you are eating well; particularly through this recovery time. Eat more protein, complex carbohydrates and plenty of fruits & veggies.
When you are ready to get back into your training program, start slowly and gradually raise the intensity.
Here are some key things to remember:
Use common sense: Work out less on days that you are feeling ill or run down; a minimum of one day and this period of time should give you time to store up energy and feel like you have done so.
Variety: Don't repeat the same things over and over again. Add variations such as decline/incline, speed, distance, combine movements. All of these can increase your fitness level, prevent injury and keep your motivation levels high!
Don't do too much too soon! If you start out the gate at your same rate of pace you will find yourself back in the "slump". Take it easy and increase intensity as you progress.
Exercise should make you feel refreshed and energized, not exhausted. If it is causing fatigue, uncomfortable soreness, or a feeling of "dreading" the trip to the gym.........Listen to your body!!!
